Flagging Cards (Jira Flag)

Cards can be flagged to make them stand out when they need attention (for example: blocked work, risks, or urgent follow-ups). This feature is available directly on the card.

Add a flag to a card

  1. Open the board and locate the card you want to flag.

  2. Use the context menu and click the Flag icon.

  3. The card is now flagged and will be visually highlighted.

Remove a flag from a card

  1. Locate the flagged card.

  2. Use the context menu and click the Flag icon again.

  3. The flag is removed and the card returns to its normal appearance.

Tips

  • Use flags consistently (e.g., “blocked” or “needs input”) so everyone understands what a flag means.

  • Unflag cards once the issue is resolved to keep the board clean and easy to scan.
